Buddha, also known as Siddhartha Gautama, is believed to have been the founder of Buddhism. He is said to have taught the principles of Buddhism, including the Four Noble Truths and the Eightfold Path, to his followers. It is difficult to say exactly what Buddha said in English because his teachings were originally spoken in ancient Indian languages such as Pali and Sanskrit. However, many of his teachings have been translated into English, and can be found in the Buddhist scriptures known as the Sutras.
