The China Daily newspaper groupis hunting for English-language senior business editors, senior copy editors, copyeditors and graphic designers to strengthen its international team. Senior Business Editor

You must:

Assist the Businesseditor in setting goals and working on achieving them;

Be an excellent teamperson who can generate ideas and think creatively and be able to rewritetotally if needed and mentor junior staff;

Ideally have been workingor have worked in a position of responsibility and understand what leadershipentails;

Have had at least fiveyear’s editing experience working onediting the Business Desk and be familiar with industry software.

Senior Copy Editor

You must:

Work on shifts in theBusiness Desk and usually have the last word before the page is sent to print;

Edit or rewrite copy andgive snappy headlines and captions;

Have had at least twoyears’ editing experience working onediting desks and be familiar with industry software.

CopyEditor

You must:

Be good at editing orrewriting copy and writing snappy headlines and captions;

Be able to work on shiftsfor different pages, and usually have the last word before the page is sent toprint;

Have two years of editingexperience working on copy desks, and be familiar with industry software.

Graphic Designer

You must:

Have excellent skills ininformation graphics;

Be good at illustrationsand freehand drawings;

Be experienced innewspaper or magazine layouts;

Have a good sense oftypography;

Have good news judgment;

Be wellversed withMacintosh software, including in Design, Illustrator and Photoshop;

Be fluent in English.
