From the picture, we can see the boy has become the focus of the family. He’s riding a “horse”— his father with a proud look on his face, surrounded by the other devoted “slaves” including his mother and his grandparents who are doing almost everything for him.

Seeing the picture, I can’t help thinking how ridiculous such love and care is. However, what is reflected in the picture is not a rare phenomenon in modern society. Spoiled by their parents, children don’t need to do any housework  like cooking, washing clothes etc. As a consequence, quite a few children are turning into self-centered “little princesses” or “little princes” in today’s society, which is definitely not the outcome we would love to see.  There is no doubt that parents are to blame for that.

In my opinion, since children are the future of our society, it is important to train them to develop a sense of independence as well as responsibility rather than encourage their laziness. Therefore, parents should realize the seriousness of this problem and show their love and care in a reasonable way.
