As is known to all, high school students in China havebeen overloaded with academic pressure. They have to study over 12 hours a dayin school, even attending extra classes on most of weekends and nationalholidays, which greatly affects students’ health both physically andpsychologically.

To help solve this problem, last December, HunanProvincial Education Department proclaimed a strict ban to make sure that nohigh school students, even those in Senior 3, shall go to school on weekends orduring official holidays. This means students can enjoy more relaxing holidays.But most parents, especially those with graduating children, are quite worriedabout their kids’ grades.

As a Senior 3 student myself, I warmly welcome thisban. While enjoying the coming longer winter vacation, I will also try to makefull use of every minute to study more efficiently.
