Yesterday was my 18th birthday. As Father and Motherthought it was a big occasion for me，theysuggested I hold a birthday party at home to celebrate it. For several daysthey had been busy preparing for this. By 4 o’clock I was pleased to see all myfriends had come. Mother cooked us a big meal.

We ate and talked happily. The most exciting momentwas when Mother put a big birthday cake on the table and all my friends beganto sing HappyBirthday.
