I am a Senior-Three student. Recently, many classmates have expressed different opinions about whether listening practice should be continued in Senior 3 English learning.

Some classmates are for it. They think that keeping listening practice helps them keep their sense of the English language. Besides, if a person is good at listening, he will find it much easier to communicate with people from other cultures.

However, others are against it. They feel it unnecessary to practice English listening in Senior 3 because the listening test has been left out in NMET for years. In addition, time used for revision is quite limited and they can’t find extra time for it.

As for me, I prefer to say Yes because English listening is the first step to get information of the modern world where English is still a dominant language.
