Three caretakers worked in shifts，taking   12holding her，carryingher around on their backs，and cradling her while sheslept.   13she became stronger，a monthafter she was res-cued her  14revealed the psychological stress shecarried inside-much of her hair fell out. That was a delayed   15tothe combined traumatic experiences of losing her parents and being kept-with apoor diet-by the poachers.

After six months of loving carethat included around-the-clock attention，a good diet，and a

16home at the project`sheadquarters，Duniawas looking and acting like a   17，happyyoung gorilla should. "Dunia is sort of a shy show-off，" says Whittier.
