About 1000 students and teachers from six universities across Beijing have been given the chance to see the world famous New York Philharmonic perform on its first visit to the city in 156 years.

The New York Philharmonic is expected to give two performances in Beijing on June 23 at the 21st Century Theatre and on June 24 at the Great Hall of the People.
