By the way, do you know about the town guide? It has all kinds ofuseful information. I think you'll find it in any bookstore.

W: No, firststreet on the left, then three blocks.

In some places, in the United States, you can comfortably ride abike, but don't count on it. Since so many people drive cars, traffic is veryheavy and bike-riding may well be dangerous or even impossible, especially in northernwinter snow and ice.

What to learnto drive? You can. And you can buy a used car for only a few  hundred dollars. But remember: You'llhave to pay for any repairs or replacement parts for your old car, and you haveto pay for gas. A car is by no means cheap.

You can take abus, of course . You must get on the front of the bus. There is no conductor totake your fare at the back. You get on the front  of the bus and drop your fare into a metal box

which thedriver cannot open. Generally, if you ask the driver to let youoff at such-and -such street, he'll gladly do it----but sometimes he mayforget, so you might ask someone else on the bus for help as well.
