Dear Jack,
     I am writing to ask you some advice on my application for university. It's the final year of my senior
high school. I have to decide in advance which university to apply to and what major to study. I have
discussed it with my parents recently. It's a pity that we have not been able to reach an agreement. My
parents would like me to choose a local university so that they can still look after me after I graduate.
However, I prefer to go to another city, where I will have the chance to experience a new life. My
parents are unhappy about that. I am worried too. Should I listen to my parents or stick to my own
decision?
